We all face different problems either with our parents or grandparents. Actually the fact of the matter is that there has developed a generation gap. Now what is a generation gap? It is a chasm, a vacuum, a broken link due to lack or our efforts not to communicate.

Our parents and grandparents have had different experiences in there life and they have learned from them now they wish to teach us not knowing that for most circumstances have changed. But they still try to communicate with the youth but most of the times it is us who fail to interact.

I have heard a lot of my friends saying it is not cool to hangout with your parents and they prefer going out with friends. this kind of attitude is creating the generation gap and now we are in a situation where our parents and grandparents whose experiences are supposed to guide us donot understand our problems.

Video games. We all play them, my friend on the other day told me that her grandmother called her the slave of the TV as she played a lot of games. what if she would have taken some time to explain her does she play games things might have been different but because of the generation gap things develop this way.

The biggest problem for the youth is the difrence in the sense of fashion. Older generation never adapted to the developments they remained conservative. They still want the teens to keep short hair and make the same bureaucratic hair style we adapted from British in those days it was the only hair style but now teens want to keep long hair or make spikes but older generation is not willing to think in the accordance to the context

The thing is that youth never indulge in the deeper meaning they always want to do what they like but the older generation always looks at the deeper meaning which in our case is not there.

now I can go on and on with the problems but who is responsible? yes, we are responsible we have to make the efforts to reduce this communication gap and if we donot make the effort this gape will incresae and never end
